Shona will be giving a workshop on fermentation at Coop Le Milieu on Thursday, August 20th.
Fermentation: Thursday, August 20, 6:00-8:00 at Coop Le Milieu Suggested donation: $10 (PWYC) Mandatory registration. Fermentation is the process of cultivating living food. Your body depends on many trillions of bacteria and fungi in order to function. Fermented foods such as yogurt, kombucha, and kefir help keep your internal ecosystem diverse and thriving. In this workshop you’ll learn about how fermentation works, its health benefits, and some easy recipes for you to try at home. You will have the opportunity to take home a starter kit to make sauerkraut (fermented cabbage). |
